Take part in the Online Challenge

Discover the 20 selected highlights along the 300 km ViaBerna and become a finisher.

Participants who have visited all 20 highlights and recorded them with the Wanderplaner Berner Wanderwege App will receive a finisher's certificate.

The selected highlights and also the ViaBerna stages can be found in the Wanderplaner Berner Wanderwege App by using the search function in the Map menu.

 

How to participate to the ViaBerna-Challenge

1. Download the Wanderplaner Berner Wanderwege App from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. In the menu My Page, create a user account with Outdooractive (register for free).

3. Register for the ViaBerna Challenge on the outdooractive.com/challenges website and your adventure can start.

On the road

Open the Wanderplaner Berner Wanderwege App and make sure you are logged-in to your account in My Page menu. Visit the selected highlights in each stage. Record a short distance (100-200 m) around this location by using the Record function and save the recording in your user account. The system automatically checks your progress in the Challenge when you synchronise your user account.

Terms of participation

  • The Challenge runs from 5 January 2026.
  • A user account with Outdooractive (free of charge) is required.
  • All 20 selected highlights must be reached and recorded with the Wanderplaner Berner Wanderwege App.
